The legacy of nurturing urban gardens continues.
Our history
The story of BloomTown starts over two decades ago, with another company: Michelle Cope Gardening. Michelle grew a dedicated base of clients in Toronto who loved her commitment to planting natural and diverse gardens, with a focus on a customized experience.
Michelle eventually mentored one of her employees, Yehudi Fleising, to take over her client list when she retired. She passed on her horticultural expertise, showed him how to meet each client’s unique needs, and exemplified how to build relationships that last for decades. In 2024, the torch was passed on to Yehudi’s new company, BloomTown gardening.
With a blend of experience and fresh perspective, BloomTown has successfully maintained its trusting relationships with Michelle’s former clients, while upholding the tradition of personalized care and attention to detail with new clients across Toronto. We hope you join us in cultivating thriving outdoor sanctuaries that reflect your unique vision.
Meet our founder
Yehudi Fleising was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, where he developed his love of nature through years of exploring the Rocky Mountains. He spent much of his twenties and early thirties drumming in a rock band and running a successful contracting company that specialized in painting, window washing and Christmas lights. He also got a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Mount Royal University, and used those skills to grow his company.
It wasn’t until he followed his wife to Miami and found work as a gardener that Yehudi discovered his love of horticulture. As his collection of orchids, tropical vines and succulents slowly began to fill nearly every corner of his and his wife’s apartment, he knew he had found his new passion — one that may have even rivaled playing music.
After moving to Toronto in 2018, Yehudi worked first as an arborist before finding Michelle Cope Gardening, where he deepened the skills that have allowed him to successfully run BloomTown.
